  • What to select under “Tell us your Role.”

    You have 4 options to choose from -:


    Player – Choose this if you are an individual player/performer.


    (If you are a player who also is the organizer of a competition, we recommend you create a player account first. You can start a competition from the same account later by using our “Switcher” button.”)


    Team – Choose this if you are a group of people playing together as a team.


    (If you are also one of the players in the team, please do not use your personal E-mail to register your team. Kindly use a different e-mail.)


    (If you also are the organizer of a competition, we recommend you create a team account first. You can start a competition from the same account later by using our “Switcher” button.”)


    Start a Competition - If you want to start hosting a competition/tournament/league, please select – “Register New Competition/Event”


    Coach – If you are a coach, trainer, teacher; looking for students – please select ‘Coach.’

  • How to edit my details later?

    Under the account dropdown, there is a button – “Edit Basic Details.” When you click on that, it will take you to the forms you filled while registering.

  • Can anyone start a competition?

    Regardless of how and what you are signed up as, YES - you can start a competition. Please click “Switcher” button in the top bar. It will take you to a page from where you can start as many competitions you may like. You can also from the same page switch between your native profile and various competition profiles you create.


    “Register New Competition/Event” button is also available on Home Page - left of the news feed.

  • How can I start a competition from my PLAYER or TEAM or COACH account? OR
    How to create & access multiple competitions from 1 account?

    If you are an organizer who is also a player or a team owner or a coach, we recommend that you first create a native account of a player or team or coach.


    By native account we mean – ‘The first account you create.’ So if you are a player organizing a competition, create a PLAYER account first.


    Once that’s done, use the “SWITCHER” button in the top bar. It will take you to a page from where you can start as many competitions you may like. You can also from the same page switch between your native profile and various competition profiles you create.


    “Register New Competition/Event” button is also available on Home Page - left of the news feed.

  • I cant find my sport or don’t know what to call it?

    In case you can’t find your sport in our dropdown, or if it’s an alternative or a new sport introduced by you, please contact us and share the details. We will be more than eager to get that in the system and help you with all tools to organize that competition

  • It’s a new/amateur/alternate sport. How do I start it?

  • Competition Profile Page – Buttons & Dashboard

    Basic Details – (Right on top)- This is the box where all your basic details reflect. Your profile picture, cover picture, name, location, level, sport/activity, & date of the competition.


    About Me- (Right under Basic details) -Tell briefly who you are, what you do and why are you on Caanhub? A brief summary


    Preferences – The top right part of your profile page reflects the preferences you set.


    Contact Button – When you are on your own profile page, and click on “Contact Button” – The message that you write in the box that opens will go to Caanhub. Use this for customer service.


    When a visitor comes on your profile and clicks on the “Contact Button” – The message they write will go as a mail to your registered e-mail address.


    Schedule – Your competitions next 5 games/matches reflect here. You can click on full schedule to see the complete list.


    Results – The last 5 results of your comp reflect here. You can click on ‘All Results” to see the complete list.


    Top Players & All Player Stats – Over here the stats of your top 5 performers reflect. You can click on “All Player Stats” to see the complete list.


    Competition Rules – This box has all the rules and regulations of your competition.


    All Teams – This box has the names of all the teams listed in your competition. Individual style competitions will see this box as “All Players.”


    Results and Standing – This box appears on your profile page, once you update the results and standings for your competition. This box is not there when the profile page is new.

  • How to add teams to my competition?

    On your profile page, under gallery - on the right side – there is a box called All Teams – In there is a button – “Add Teams” (For individual style competitions that’s “Add Players” button) Click on that. It will give you a pop up to add teams by providing the ‘teams name’ and ‘e-mail.’


    Please make sure you click on “HELP” button and read all instructions carefully.


    There are 2 scenarios that can come up while adding a team-


    A) Teams that are NOT on Caanhub:


    In such a case where the team is not registered yet on Caanhub, a competition organiser can create a new team and add them to their comp. Simply provide that teams name and e-mail and hit submit. That particular teams new account and a profile page will be created. You will then have to inform that teams captain/admin then. Please take their permission and their e-mail in advance. They will receive a mail with a link, which will re direct them to their profile page. They can then create a password and complete their registrations.


    The same protocol applies when an individual style comp adds a player by creating a new account.


    B) Teams that are already on Caanhub:


    You can add teams and players (for individual style comps) who are already on Caanhub, by choosing them from the suggestion dropdown. When you write the name of a team or player in the form, all teams and players with that name will appear in the suggestion dropdown below – you can select the one you are looking for. They will instantly be added to your competition. PLEASE NOTE: Its mandatory that you have the explicit authorization and the permission from that player/team you are adding to your competition or creating an account of. If not, please don’t add or create their profile. If they report, your account can also be suspended.

  • How can I remove participants (teams and players) from my competition?

    On your profile page, under gallery - on the right side – there is a box called All Teams (All players for individual style competitions) you can simply click on the cross next to the team or the player name that you want to remove from your competition.


    Please note: You can’t remove a team/player from your competition whose game/match you have scheduled. Please make sure there is no games scheduled of the team/player you are trying to remove. If yes, then delete the scheduled game/match and then remove the team/player from your comp.

  • Can anyone start a competition?

  • How can I start a competition from my PLAYER or TEAM or COACH account? OR

  • How can I change the sport and style of my competition?

    Unfortunately for security & credibility reasons, you cant change the sport and style once set. If you made a mistake, Contact Here.

  • Will CAAN give prize money or any other prizes to players or competition organizers?

    CAAN never gives out prizes, prize money or any kind of rewards and awards. Except when a special or a promotional offer has been announced.


    Please be advised – if you as an admin or organizer promise an award, prize, prize money, incentive, sweepstake, – you are the only one responsible to honor that commitment.

  • Creating Schedule, Scorecard & Results

  • How does the schedule work?

    (You can also click on the help button on that page to read all the instructions)


    SCHEDULE-:

    There are 6 boxes to help you create the schedule of your competition.


    EVENT BOX-:

    This is to name the event or the match.


    (For example your sport is "Track and Field" or Swimming. You can write - "100 Meter Qualifiers" or "Long Jump Finals")


    PARTICIPANTS BOX-:

    The next 2 boxes (Labeled participant A and participant B) are to list the participants. A dropdown will open with the names of all teams (players for individual style comps)


    If your match/competition is between Teams - select the name of teams in both boxes.


    For individual style comps, names of players will appear - select the name of players in both boxes.


    VARIOUS TEAMS/PLAYERS CHECK BOX -:

    For a lot of sports you might see an additional check box after the EVENT BOX – It’s labeled ‘Various teams’ or ‘Various Players.’


    This is for sports like Track and Field and Marathon & other such activities - where the number of competitors or participants is more than two.


    Once you mark tick mark this box, it will prompt the system that there are more than 2 participants going head to head at the same time. It will immediately grey out Participant A and B boxes.


    DATE, TIME, VENUE - The next 3 boxes are to set the Date, Time and Venue.


    Once you HIT SAVE, the game/event will be scheduled and all parties will be notified automatically. You can edit/revise or delete the schedule from the buttons provided as well.


  • How does the results & standings work?

    If you scroll down below, you will have the option of updating the results for your competition in a format that best suits your needs.


    There are 3 formats available for you. Please note:


    Once you update your results in a certain format, you will not be allowed to change it. So check out all 3 options before updating.


    Once you update Final Results, the system will automatically create a "Results/Standings" box on your profile page.


    1) Medal Format - For competitions that use medal system for results. Sports like Track & Field, Swimming, etc use this often.


    2) Positions Format - For competitions that declare results by giving positions - Winner, Runner Up, Third Place, Fourth, and so on.


    3) Points Format - If your competition keeps scores in a points table. Use this. Mostly leagues use this format.


  • How does the scorecard work?

    PLEASE NOTE: The scorecard button is active only for Cricket & Football as of March 2018. We will keep adding this feature for other sports as we go.


    When you click on scorecard button, it will take you to a page where you will be able to see “FULL SQUAD” of the 2 teams participating. Over here you can choose and select the players who are playing in this match. The players on the bench, or extras can be left out as they are not required for scorecard. Once done, hit next – the scorecard template for your sport will open.


    Cricket Scorecard – How to use?


    Please select team batting first, the system will automatically get all players listed placed.


    Please use drag and drop feature to shuffle batting and bowling positions.


    Please update both parts (1st innings and 2nd innings) separately. Please update as often as possible so you don't lose data.


    It’s advised you print this page and write all scores on paper or keep a backup somewhere in case of slow/bad Internet connection.


    Once you update data, all stats will automatically be updated on every players profile page and add to their statistics.


    Football Scorecard – How to use?


    There are 2 sections to this – i) to keep score & stats of the match. ii) To keep stats of players.


    Keeping score & stats of the match-:


    The name of the 2 teams and all players playing will already show once you land on this page


    The first line has 2 boxes and a dropdown - As its football, please select ‘Goals’ from the dropdown. (This same scorecard template is also used for other similar sports, that’s why this dropdown gives multiple options)


    * If you want to keep more additional stats like shots, fouls, corners, etc. please click ‘+ metrics’ and it will open another line of boxes. You can add as many you want.


    Keeping stats of players-:


    The 2 boxes after the match score & stats part are for you to keep stats of players participating in the match.


    You can choose to keep stats for as many metrics you want. The first one will be stored and added to their career stats. Please select ‘Goals’ in the dropdown.


    Results-:


    Please select the name of the winning team and the final score. Once you hit save, the results will reflect everywhere.


    The static scorecard will also be available for everyone to access.

  • What sports/activities do you have the scorecard feature for?

    We currently serve more than 175 sports and their variants. We also welcome new or alternate sports.


    Scorecards are also available for creative competitions like - Singing, Dancing etc.


    Though as of August 2018 – the stats calculation feature is only available for Cricket and Soccer/Football.

  • How to add players to my team?

    On your profile page, under gallery - on the right side – there is a box called “Playing Members ” – In there is a button – “Add Players” Click on that. It will give you a pop up to add players by providing the ‘players name’ and ‘e-mail.’

  • How does the TEAM MANAGEMENT page works? What all can I do there?

    Team Management button is available in the box – “Current Full Squad.” (Right side – under gallery)


    This page gives you control to set your current team/squad, add/remove players and declare your squad for a particular competition.


    FULL SQUAD:

    When you land on this page – you will see your “Full Squad” in front of you. Each members name will have the option of “YES/NO” in front of them


    If a person is no longer a member of your team, please select NO in front of their name. They will stop reflecting as a part of your team with immediate effect.


    Competitions Squad:

    This page will also have separate buttons for each competition your team is a part of. When you click on any of the competitions, all members of your squad will reflect here


    (Only active members) You can then from here declare the squad for that particular competition.


    The names you will declare here, will tell the organizer of a competition how many people to expect, and create the scorecards of matches/games your team participates in.

  • I want to remove players from my team. How can I do that?

    Please go on the team management page – Over there please select full squad. The player/member you want to remove, please select NO in front of his name.


    That person will stop reflecting as a part of your team starting immediately.

  • How to find players around me and invite them to join my team?

    You can use our “Advanced Search” for that. Please use our filters - select the Sport/Activity, Location (City, State, Country) and role category (Player, Team, Competition, Coach) – You will get all results. You can go on their profile and contact them directly.

  • My competition organizer created our team’s account. How do I proceed? OR
    What happens when a COMPETITION creates a new TEAMS account?

    - If a competition organizer created your team’s account, you must have received a mail on the e-mail they used to register your team. That mail will contain a link that will re direct you to your team profile page. You will be asked to create a password and then proceed further.


    - You can also go on the website directly - Please click “Log in” on top right - Click “forgot password” and provide the e-mail which was used to register your team. You will receive a mail on that e-mail address. That mail will contain a link that will re direct you to your team profile page. You will be asked to create a password and then proceed further.


  • Our team accounts administrator/owner has changed? How can we allot a new person to run the account?

  • How can I change the sport of my team?

    Individual Competitions– This will show the competitions you are a part of in an individual capacity.


    My Stats – All your stats will reflect in this box.

  • * My team’s captain/account owner created my player account and added me as a player. How do I proceed? OR
    * What happens when a TEAM OWNER creates a new PLAYERS account?

    - If your team captain/account owner created your player account, you must have received a mail on the e-mail they used to register you. That mail will contain a link that will re direct you to your player profile page. You will be asked to create a password and then proceed further.


    - You can also go on the website directly - Please click “Log in” on top right - Click “forgot password after providing the e-mail.” You will receive a mail on your registered e-mail address.   • I am signed up as a player. I want to host a competition. How can I do that?

    Regardless of how and what you are signed up as, yes you can start a competition. Please click ‘Switcher” in the top bar. It will take you to a page from where you can start as many competitions you may like. You can also from the same page switch between your native profile and various competition profiles you create.


    “Register New Competition/Event” button will also be soon available on Home Page; Left of the news feed.

  • I am part of a different or another team. Can I become a member there as well?

    You can be listed as a player in as many teams and competitions as you like.


    Please approach the captain or admin of the team you want to join. They will have to add you in their team.

  • * I want to leave the current team I am in. How can I do that?

    Please ask the owner of that team account to remove you from that team.

  • How can I join a competition?

    You as an individual player can definitely join individual style comps (Individual style comps are those in which 2 or more individuals compete, unlike team competitions)


    Please go on the profile page of a comp you would like to join, and send a message to the organizer.

  • I play multiple sports or have multiple skills. Can I add that and keep stats for all?

    Multiple sports can be managed from the same account. This feature will be available by June 2018. We recommend you don’t create a new account for a different sport. Once this feature is active, you will be able to add multiple sports on your basic details form (Step 1) The stats for that sport will also start reflecting on your profile page, once you participate in a match/game for that sport.

  • I want to find other players around me to collaborate, challenge or team up with?

    If you know the name of the person, please try our search box.

  • Why can’t I write down my own stats and create my own scorecards?

    The scorecards that the organizer of a competition creates generate all Player stats on Caanhub.


    And, only competition organizers can create scorecards. This is mostly to maintain credibility but also for security reasons.

  • I created 2 player accounts by mistake. What do I do?

    Please delete the new account you created. We don’t have merging features yet. Or Contact us here.

  • How can a user book my services and how will I be notified?

    Users will visit your profile page to learn about your services and pricing. They can then click the “Book” button under the prices. A pop up will open in which they can write their message for you.


    That message will go straight to the inbox of your registered e-mail. The message will also contain the users e-mail address. You can contact them privately and take the conversation forward.

  • How will I be paid? OR
    Can CAAN or your team help me collect payments? OR
    Can CAAN collect it on my behalf?

    You will have to directly collect the amount from the customer.


    Either cash or checks – how ever suits you and the customer.Right now we don’t have the technology to collect payments from the customer on our website. We will soon upgrade and install a payment gateway.


    Please ensure that you communicate the payment terms to the customer clearly.


    We highly recommend you collect 50% of the payment in advance.

  • How much percentage will CAAN keep?

    CAAN will take 5% of the total amount earned by you.Excluding Taxes.


    In order to collect taxes from the customer; you need to include that in your bill.


    For example – If the total amount for your service is $100. Our fees will be $5.


    If your tax is 10% - you should charge the customer $110. After paying our fees of $5, you will take home a sweet $95.


    Please note: Taxes are subjective to your country and the user is directly responsible for all taxation. We cannot provide bills at this point in time.

  • Can a coach start a competition?

    Yes you can do that. In fact we encourage everyone to do the same.


    Regardless of how and what you are signed up as, yes you can start a competition. Please click ‘SWITCHER’ in the top bar. It will take you to a page from where you can start as many competitions you may like. You can also from the same page switch between your native profile and various competition profiles you create.

  • Newsfeed

  • Why am I seeing these stories/posts on my newsfeed? How is this curated?

    Right now on your newsfeed you are seeing all activities that are happening in the state you are registered. Along with stories of the accounts you follow. Latest stories are on top.

    You can change the location/region from the dropdown under the box to make posts.

  • How can I edit/delete my posts?

    There is a button called ‘My Activity’ in the “Account” dropdown. It will take you to your personal feed. Over there you can edit/delete your posts.

  • How does CAAN Sponsorships work?

    We invite you to please read our Competitions hosting guidelines - Sections 13 - 17. Click here.

  • Can any competition enrol in CAAN Sponsorship Program?

    Yes Absolutely. No matter how small or amateur the level. absolutely anyone can enrol and almost anyone can attain funds.


    Though please note: once you enrol, we will get in touch with you directly to verify you, only if everything looks good, we will take the process forward.

  • Do you support teams and players with sponsors as well?

    Yes we do, but its selective and only for a few teams and athletes that qualify.


    Once you enrol your team or yourself for sponsorships, we will give you a conformation if you qualify for sponsors.


    We will then go through your profile, and if it looks good, we can add you to our list of Caanhub Stars.


    Once we do that, please make sure you share and promote your profile as much as you can.


    Please give and take 45-60 days for us to get back with a confirmation or a denial on your sponsoring request.

  • Is sponsorship feature active for all countries??

    NO. Its available for competitions only in the republic of India.


    We will start in different countries and update this list. Till then you can enjoy all other features.

  • CHALLENGES & DARES

  • CHALLENGES & DARES

    For teams and players - we provide this super cool feature in which people can challenge or dare others


    You can go on any teams and players account and challenge/dare them. They will receive a notification to either accept or deny.


    If they accept, the details will start reflecting on profile pages of both participants. Once the challenge/dare is over - the person who started the challenge/dare - will update the result. The other party will come the result.


    In case there is a dispute, CAAN will step in and take the final decision. Somethings to note-:


    a) CAAN is and in no way responsible for the prize or the dare, or the activity. The 2 participants are doing


    b) A challenge is something in which both parties have to perform - A dare is something in which 1 party dares the other to complete a task with set guidelines.


    c) High Risk sports, combat sports, must only be dared or challenged upon with proper precautions in place.


    d) Please do not dare for things that are deemed stupid, crazy or in general not termed a proper sport. Though we encourage alternate sports, there are something’s that should never be competed upon. For ex. Jumping from high-rise buildings, surfing on top of trains, etc.


    e) Betting is not allowed. Betting is defined as any activity on which bets are placed the results of which is not under control of the people betting. For example – challenges like betting on the verdict of a match – is not allowed.
